TJ’s filming expedition in South Africa, Day 2

posted on March 09th, 2010 in News by neilchesher

TJ touched down in South Africa on Saturday to undertake filming with The Auntie Foundation in order to raise awareness of the charity. Evolution Live created a video for the initial charity launch and website made from old footage sent from South Africa. The team now head to Cape Town and Johannesburg to film with the children and parents to discover how they cope and the difference The Auntie Foundation can make to their lives.

TJ reports his journey so far…

Monday 8th March – “Today we visited nurseries and met with the children to see how they lived. We observed orphans living amongst the rubble who were being cared for by a lady living out of 6ft room with minimal possessions. We also had the opportunity to witness the government innoculation programme in schools – a real worthwhile project to help provide these children with a future without illness.

Tomorrow we are visiting more schools in the area and we have a meeting with the department of education to talk about the after schools programme The Auntie Foundation is looking to launch.”
