TJ’s filming expedition in South Africa, Day 4

posted on March 11th, 2010 in News by neilchesher

With a township resident at the wheel I was driven deep into the townships today to gather more knowledge and more images of true life there. We observed animal cruelty and were offered slices of roasted sheep’s head from a pavement fire.

We also witnessed a road traffic accident where a school girl had been hit by a car, we were almost the first people on the scene but it was unsafe for us to get out of the car. I was shocked by the number of school children let onto the township streets at the end of the school day at 2.30 to wander the streets. It is a huge problem.
