Local Charity evolves in South Africa
Creative Director of Wingrave based, Live Communications agency, Evolution Live, TJ Lane, left on Saturday 6th March to do a film shoot for 8 days in the townships of South Africa for newly formed charity The Auntie Foundation.
The Thame based charity has been formed to help the children in South Africa’s townships who face difficult situations whilst left unaided in the hours between the end of the school day and the arrival of their parents returning home from work.
Having created a video for the charity launch and website, made from old footage sent from South Africa; the Evolution Live team now head to Cape Town and Johannesburg to film with the children and parents to discover how they cope and the difference the Auntie Foundation can make to their lives.
The foundation is still in the early stages of development, however it is believed that through this video they will be able to raise awareness, cultivate more support. With the use of the content from the filming they will be able to further develop their teacher programmes which encourage UK nursery teachers to go over to South Africa and volunteer as well as raising awareness for their twinning scheme. Where nurseries in the UK can formally ‘twin’ and support their own crèche in South Africa.
Evolution Live hopes to create a hard hitting documentary that identifies the mismatch between the richest country in Africa and one of the highest rates of child suffering anywhere in the world.
As part of their involvement with, and support for the charity, Evolution Live is funding the trip in the hope that they can help to raise the Auntie Foundation’s profile.
Tj explains that ‘the choice parents living in the townships are facing is to go to work and leave their children unattended which often results in them becoming involved in drugs, crime and abuse. Or to stay at home with no income and often face starvation. Evolution Live is involved in this project because it will enable other options for these parents that provide safe environments for the children, meaning they won’t have to make this difficult decision.
If we can help to change the life of a single child, then it’s all worthwhile.’

A new year and a new identity in 2010 for Evolution Live. From 18th February Evolution Live will be launching its new corporate identity, which will reach all aspects of its marketing and operations.
Evolution Live was established in 2003 with one purpose, to create world class events. However, in the period since then the company has now evolved into a vibrant live communications business heading into 2010 with fresh ideas, bright future and a wide variety of clients.
This re-brand was spurred by the vital role live communications has developed within all market industries including: the financial, retail and public sectors.
It is felt that live communications is essential for international companies to communicate with its employees by building the relationship using cost effective methods.
Within today’s retail market it is becoming ever more important for organisations to put into place exceptional customer service procedures. Live communications is the most effective way of updating and communicating these procedures. Staff members can also feel more valued by seeing the senior management team face to face.
Andi Swain; CEO of Evolution Live believes the reason for his company’s success is that ‘we simply listen to the want of the clients. The message is the essential part of any live communications and we immerse ourselves within the client’s company to adapt and change the message so that it is accurately received by the target audience’.
To cope with this Evolution Live is at the forefront of using innovative concepts to get the client’s message and it was felt that a rebrand would reflect this transition of change.
The new Evolution Live logo contains colours which symbolise the range of services we provide and enables you to navigate easily whether audio visual hire, multimedia or event management services on events such as: conference, gala dinners, product launches, exhibitions and seminars.
The logo is also bolder to symbolise Evolution Live’s confidence in the future and the strength live communications can have on the market.
The new launch of Evolution Live incorporates not only the logo but a brand new website in order to improve customer’s usability and to promote the services on offer more effectively.
Evolution Live is moving forward to use the rebrand to build on evolutionlive track record and hope that the clients will respond well to the re-brand and will be excited about the changes to come.
