Most recently, we were tasked with assisting Leica in their October 2010 road show taking in 11 venues around the UK in just three weeks.  Working up a list of venues across the UK from London to Inverness, Dublin, Belfast and everywhere in-between, we started with rough geographic locations and estimated audience numbers, performing a national search for venues that would slot into the road show whilst also being of adequate quality for client engagement events. Specifications included: ample parking, easily accessible, outside space, conference area, exhibition area and break out spaces.

As the road show ran in October, (a peak conference month), it was all the more difficult to find suitable venues with the appropriate dates available to slot into the road show schedule.  Our team  was also tasked with finding suitable accommodation (close to venue and within budget) for the Leica road show delivery team (10 – 20 pax).

Needless to say, Lisa (‘Event Manager Extraordinaire’) worked her magic, not only providing a shortlist of suitable venues and negotiating the best rates but also exceeding client expectations with her selections and some clever route planning, making the best of the distance between the various towns and cities, she managed to reduce their usual 5 week road show down to just 3 weeks.
